1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on BillMint, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all users — individuals, businesses, and organisations — accessing BillMint.

2. Use of the Service

BillMint is a GST-compliant invoicing and business management platform designed for Indian businesses. You may use the service to:

• Create and send GST invoices, credit notes, and quotations
• Manage products, customers, and inventory
• Generate financial and GST reports
• Track payments and outstanding balances

You must not use BillMint for any unlawful purpose, to generate fraudulent invoices, or to misrepresent your business identity or GST registration.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@ashvventures.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. BillMint is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your credentials.

4. Data Ownership

All business data you enter — customers, products, invoices, and reports — belongs to you. BillMint does not claim ownership of your data. You may export your data at any time from the Settings section of your account.

5. GST Compliance

BillMint generates invoice formats consistent with Indian GST law. However, you remain solely responsible for the accuracy of GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, GSTIN details, and filing obligations. BillMint does not provide tax advisory services.

6. Service Availability

We aim to maintain 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. BillMint shall not be liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillMint's liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BillMint after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

When you use BillMint, we collect the following information:

• Account data — name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash)
• Business data — company name, GSTIN, PAN, address, and bank details you provide
• Transaction data — invoices, customers, products, and payments you create
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and browser/device information (anonymised)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Provide and operate the BillMint service
• Generate GST-compliant invoices and reports on your behalf
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Improve the product through aggregated, anonymised analytics

We never sell, rent, or share your personal or business data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Security

BillMint uses industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Bcrypt hashing for all stored passwords
• Regular automated backups with encryption at rest
• Role-based access controls for our internal team

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., GST records required to be maintained for 6 years under Indian law).

You have the right to:

• Access and export all your data at any time
• Correct inaccurate information via your account settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to processing of your data by contacting us

6. Cookies

BillMint uses only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Third-Party Services

BillMint may use the following trusted third-party services:

• Cloud hosting — for infrastructure (data stored in India)
• Transactional email — to send system notifications

These providers are bound by data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
